Jefferson County Green Band Rocks the House Opening Night!

On Art Walk Friday, July 1st at 8pm, the Jefferson County Green Band took the stage, led by 4th generation Fairfield native Steve McLain and his wife Michaela A tight knit group of seasoned players born to let the good times roll, the Green Band may be remembered for their engaging performance at the 2015 Ragbrai or an alley concert at FAIRfest that had promoters from New Orleans talking about how blown way they were because it reminded them of being back home. The Depot Brewery is Fairfield’s newest musical nightspot and ace watering hole. Bob and Judy Bernards have created a wayfarers’ paradise by the railroad tracks at the corner of Depot and 4th Street in an area once dubbed New Chicago.

Four years in the making, infused with handcrafted aesthetics by the work of over a dozen artisans including renowned wood carver John Schirmer, this one of a kind, solar-powered, lovingly refurbished live event dance venue, offers a full bar in a friendly neighborhood setting that is both down home and premium bohemian.

The Depot Brewery is open 5pm to close Wednesday through Saturday. A fireplace to warm the cockles of your heart in the winter. Solar-powered organic mouth-watering in house home-crafted brews. Artisan vibes with a loving touch sure to soften the edges and soothe the blues. Most definitely a love thing built around the artistic aesthetic of live music, creative expression and the heartland community.

Live music Fridays and Saturdays with  a $5 cover charge. No cover for weekend deejays 11pm to close.
